George Nelson Bench Production Date?

I recently acquired a 68" all black George Nelson bench from an estate sale for an unbelievable $45USD. I have wanted one for quite some time now and not in the position to pay full retail, so I am beyond excited. It has the original label in tact and all. Is there a way to place a specific or general date judging the label, dimensions, or any other characteristics? I would love to know more about it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The label
is pre-1960.

Thank you so much! As for narrowing down a more specific date, are there any other details or differences to look for? Or do you basically get a general time frame with these sort of pieces?

Very nice bench Dave.
Not much changes except for the label and the patina on these. It sounds as though this bench found the perfect new home. Congrats on the sweet deal.

ps. get a new tape measure.
These bad boys only are available in 48",60" and 72".....or maybe I'm confused.

I thought the size was a little peculiar as well but have found a few references to back it up. I thought one was here, but have had trouble finding it.
