Genuine Alvar Aalto Stool?

Hi, I am interested in buying what I believe to be an Alvar Aalto stool ... but it is unstamped. Does it look genuine? Is there any other ways to know?Thanks!

There should be an edge band around the top, with no exposed plys. The proportions and bolt layout don't look bad, but veneer appears to be chipping from the legs. If the legs are plywood, the stool is not Aalto. The real deal will have legs made from bent solid wood, with splines at the 'knees'.

Thanks, that is what confused me, some that are attributed to Aalto have visible plywood on the legs and top.

Hi, thanks for the feedback, so it is definetly not aalto? Are the reasons what objectworship listed? As it appears similar to a few others attributed to aalto....

When did Aalto stools start to have legs not parallel with each other ?
Real or not, I like the look of the poster's stool. Legs straight, tight bends. Are we sure those legs are veneer ply ?
