Have found what I believe is an original vintage Herman Miller 671. However there are no labels/stamps on the underside, is this correct? How can I tell if its HM? It has black legs with silver tops and silver top on the actual feet. The verner is medium-light in colour with black leather.

Eames ottoman?
A quick and easy test- does it swivel? Herman Miller Eames ottoman doesn't.
4 or 5 'feet' on base? Herman Miller has 4.
Send some photos, especially of the base and underside of the ottoman. This will definitely make it easier to answer your question.
