When you start threads about items that are for sale in your store, it looks like you're trying to sneak around the no-advertising rule in the Forum and avoid paying the modest fee that's charged for listings in the Radar section.
If that's not your intent, you should just attach photos to your message rather than attaching a link to your store.
It's easy.
The only trick is that the image has to be on the web somewhere, not on your PC. Try this:
1. In your web browser, go to your deconet store. Find the item you like, then click on its image to see the larger version.
2. If you're using Firefox, right-click on the image and select "View Image" to see the image in a window by itself. If you're using another web browser, there should be a similar option.
3. Examine the URL in the address bar; it must begin with "http://www." and end with ".jpg".
4. Select the URL in the address bar and hit ctrl-c to copy it to your clipboard (or, if you're using Firefox, right-click on the image itself and choose "Copy Image Location").
5. Start a new message on DesignAddict and paste the URL into one of the "associated web images" boxes by clicking there and hitting ctrl-v. Examine the URL again to make sure that it begins with "http://www." and ends with ".jpg"; if it doesn't, it won't work.
Here's an example; the link I copied from your store and pasted into the box was http://www.deconet.com/picture/product/362593/fullsize/william_plunkett-... :
Here's one of our recent eye catching sofa's...
I love the over-sized chrome castors on this long & low, rather sleek sofa.
The bright, burnt-orange leather upholstery makes quite a bold statement, and I think it has a great shape shape overall and especially to the armrests.
An interesting design we unfortunately weren't able to identify, as it didn't hang around very long!
I intended to research it again, but as you know, there are never enough hours in the day to get everything done, let alone days in the week!
Hopefully someone on Design Addict will happen upon this thread that may know who its by?
Even though it has relocated to a new loving home, its still great to find out.
Definitions...
of funky on the Web:
* fetid: offensively malodorous; "a foul odor"; "the kitchen smelled really funky"
* (of jazz) having the soulful feeling of early blues
* stylish and modern in an unconventional way; "she likes funky clothes"; "we did it all in black and white in a very funky sixties style"
* in a state of cowardly fright
The last one is my favorite. To be funky, is to be in a cowardly fright? New to me!
Take your pick...
Yes Witespike, I know where...
Yes Witespike, I know where you are coming from. Things people descibe as Funky usually turn out to be a bitter dissapointment.
In all seriousness not many peolple can get away with using the word funky. Maybe only James Browns `The Funky Drummer` or The Headhunters singing `God made me funky` could get away with it.
Whitespike, I don`t think you will have been epxosed to `The Funky Gibbon`.
