I just picked up this intriguing chair on Providence Craigslist.
It looks very similar to the AX 6020 by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen, and has the FH Denmark stamp on the bottom. However, it is armless, and I've never seen one like this before?
Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello Jason. Your chair IS...
Hello Jason. Your chair IS authentic, don't worry. This version of Hvidt & Mølgaard's famous AX chair is far more rarely seen than the common version with the armrests. However, despite its rarity the value tends to be a bit lower. But nevermind that, if you like it, that's what matters. I think it's sort of refreshing to see this version, to me it's certainly more comfortable for my eyes to look at. I'm a huge fan of Hvidt & Mølgaard and their AX line is as beautiful as it's clever.
This is my favourite version...
This is my favourite version of this chair (and it looks even better in black vinyl!). This store also has your version upholstered in blue fabric.

You're right, the armless...
You're right, the armless version is much more beautiful and has better lines and all wood also looks nicer than upholstered.
Just curious if I buy a pair of these from Denmark, how much would shipping be, anyone has a general idea on international shipping rates on furniture?
I suppose these chairs would...
I suppose these chairs would be shipped to SF, USA? Well, I think it would be expensive but not that much. I mean, these chairs were designed for export and can therefor be broken down (most versions in the AX series could) so you'll have the seat, back and two sides stacked. To ship it would just require a large flat box. Can't be that complicated. But check out the macthing tables, they're equally beautiful, not to mention the rare bench. Though the price level on their furniture is rising, also in Denmark, as their furniture is really excellent in quality, form and function. The AX series is especially rather large and the most elegant AX lounge chairs go for around $2000-$3000.
