I bought these several years ago, and the only thing the person could tell me was that he bought them in France and they were made in the 40s. I've never seen any other chairs like them. They are going to be very expensive to reupholster, and the upholsterer said it would be great if I could find similar fabric, which looks like a very thin vinyl. If anyone has info on the designer of these chairs or where I might similar fabric, I'd be very grateful!
