It all depends on the design...
It all depends on the design of your chair. Hans Olsen designed a dining set with a table and four chairs in 1952 for Frem Røjle. The chairs had three legs but a 4 legged version was produced too in small numbers. To my knowledge FR never made another chair with three legs.
Go to www.lauritz.com and search for Hans Olsen, there you'll find several auctions for these chairs.
Yeah, I think so. I've never...
Yeah, I think so. I've never heard of just Frem Moebelfabrik. Here in Denmark it was and still is known as Frem Roejle, but could it easily be known as Frem Moebelfabrik in other parts of the world where Hans Olsen's furniture were sold. Or perhaps the name was changed at some point. But yeah, I would say that they are the same.

I think for those of us in the states it is www.furnitureindex.dk - I tried dot com and took me to some odd about link or somethinng. Or am I just crazy.
http://www.furnitureindex.dk/
Oh yes, it's .dk and not...
Oh yes, it's .dk and not .com. Sorry, I always get them mixed up. Somewhere along the way, my brain have decided that it's .com. I'll have a talk with it.
The site's great, yes. I've used it many times. Though the Wegner section is far from complete. Actually, it's not very useful as there are very few of his furniture. But then again, Wegner's production of chairs, sofas, tables, cabinets, lighting etc. it really vast so it's a huge task.
The list of designs
Frem Røjle is the company name and the one all searches should be conducted under.
As for the Hans Olsen chairs and table there are several different designs.
1)
The best known design is the three legged chair with the upholstered seat. Mostly these chairs were done in black plast or vinyl.
The chair was intended for the circular table that matched. This is a small table at only 41 inch or so diameter.
The 4 chairs would sit into the table with the chair back support making up the plinth on the table.
2)
The Smale table also came with a butterfly leaf hidden inside the top which once extended would accomodate 6 of the 3 legged chairs.
2a) The chair also came with a black plast or vinyl covered back support.
Noritsugu Oda,s "Danish chairs" features the chair.
3)
Then there was the next version which had a thicker plinth and 4 legged chairs which again made the plinth complete with their back supports.
4)
The next model had a chair wich a raised central part of the back support which peaked over the edge of the table top.
5)
The rare version of these is the "elipse" shaped table which had a single leaf that once fitted made the table diamond shaped. Again the chairs fitted into the plint but these were 4 legged and with the thicker back support.
Thats the conclusive list of designs from Frem Røjle and Hans Olsen.
The chairs aver very good and stack but a real pig to re+upholster as the seat are all glued onto the tri angular subframe and thus have to be "broken" off the replace the vinyl.

I have a rectangular Hans Olsen Dining set by Frem Rojle
I have checked a lot of posts, and there seem to be a lot of knowledgeable people with information on Hans Olsen and Frem Rojle, but i have yet to see anything mentioned about the set i own. Does anyone have any information about this set? 6 chairs and a rectangular table with a hidden butterfly leaf. All stamped "Frem Rojle". Chairs tuck under the table exactly like the round version of the Hans Olsen set. In fact, the chairs have four legs and are identical to the four legged Hans Olsen chairs (I know because i have that set too), the only difference is the backrest is straight, not curved as they are for the round set. I should also mention that chairs from the round set tuck under the rectangular table and vice versa, though as mentioned the backrests are clearly and distinctly made for their specific tables. It has been suggested to me that this may be an early prototype. I appreciate any and all comments.
