Does anyone have any experience in changing the seat foam of the Soft-Pad Eames chair?

What kind of foam should I buy?

The one in the chair is normal orange soft foam with a white lining mesh. And replacing is very easy due to a zipper.

I have a foam supplier nearby and he can supply:

1- PUR-FOAM
2- HR-COLD FOAM
3-VISCO-FOAM.

But don't know what is the most appropriate for this chair.

I am looking for comfort and thought that the visco-foam could be a solution but I am afraid that what is good for a mattress may not be the best for a chair.

I am thinking of keeping the white lining mesh and replace only the foam.

Thanks in advance,

Eduardo

Last Bump!
Sorry. This the last bump. I'll be buying the foam soon.
Thanks,

Just get
Just ask your foam supplier what a good density upholstery foam is. I would avoid the visco foam - I love sleeping on my mattress, but sitting it is really uncomfortable. Feel like I'm slowly being eaten by it.
And definitely keep the mesh part - that will keep the upholstery from bunching up.

Finally bought the new foam...
Finally bought the new foam and replaced it in all 4 Soft-Pad Eames chairs.
They had these types of foams:
PUR-FOAM - RG25 4,0 kpa
PUR-FOAM - RG35 5,0 kpa
PUR-FOAM - RG40 6,0 kpa
PUR-FOAM - RG50 6,0 kpa
HR-COLDFOAM - RG 40 2,5 kpa
HR-COLDFOAM - RG 40 3,0 kpa
HR-COLDFOAM - RG 40 4,0 kpa
VISCO-FOAM - RG 50 3,0 kpa
B1 HR-COLDFOAM - RG 50 6,0 kpa
COMPOSIT FOAM - RG 120
And I choose HR-COLDFOAM - RG 40 4,0 kpa.
First I removed they white fiber mesh lining from the original foam. And this was a bit tricky because it was sort of glued. I began by opening one end. Then I removed it slowly, in order to maintain the lining mesh in its original size. Then placed it over the new foam and kind of closed it again.
Then to put it all back in was a bit of work, but in the end the lining mesh was very helpful to fill-in all the corners of the seat.
The chair that originally had the seat leather in better shape was almost perfect, the other 3 are also OK but you can see that the leather in the middle had been deformed once.
This foam is more dense and strong than the original but IMO it gives a better seating.
I am not thinking of replacing the foam from the back of the chair.
Thanks for your help,
