This is on the blog but threads seem hard to get going on there.

I like this very much! Having a horror of the normal fitted kitchen, (revolting over-priced chipboard boxes that encourage 'roaches and vermin) am always pleased to see any other ideas. I especially like the avoidance of a standard fridge, I'm lucky enough to walk past a supermarket every day on the way to work and am close to a farmers market so for the last three months have turned my fridge off, its irritating not having ice for the afternoon whisky but I'm saving so much electricity its worth it. The herb garden is nice too but I wonder about the effect of the detergent residue (phosphates) on the plants.

It would have been good to see the concept expanded to a family sized system with a direct filtered water line into a garden and a movable workbench and a few other small changes, for cleanliness I think the canisters and planters could have been suspended from the back of the bench.

Thoughts?
