Does anybody know of a Sofa that looks like the Florence Knoll with wooden legs instead of the metal? Can I just take off the metal and put in some wooden legs or is it structural?

Oh and if anybody know a company that makes this style without the armrest, I kind of like that look also.

Who still makes them?
Yeah, but NICKR60, who SELLS them armless? (Besides lucking out and maybe finding a used one). Can I take the metal support off and just put four wooden legs on it or does it need to have that long piece underneath for support?

Google works wonders. If you want the wooden leg sofa then vintage is where you need to look, I don't know who has one. The time/hassle of converting a metal leg sofa would be too expensive and devalue (if original) sofa hugely. Just not worth it.

NickR60 thank you for...
NickR60 thank you for suggesting google, I am sure you are trying help in your own way. However, if there is anybody that can help me out with suggestions I would really appreciate it.
I've found one that would be perfect if only it were tufted. (I'm obviously don't care about brand)

Google
Sammyboy, I'm sure you're trying to ask for help in your own way. However, you started by looking for a sofa with wooden legs and are now showing a metal-legged sofa that would be "perfect if only it were tufted".
Absent a really clear description of what you desire, how can anyone suggest a specific sofa?
Perhaps a Google Image Search for "tufted armless sofa" -- which produces 13,000+ pictures, mostly of tufted armless sofas -- will help you to discover what you actually want.

Okay my mistake, you are...
Okay my mistake, you are obviously NOT trying to help. Obviously I know how to use google to show me 13,000+ pictures of sofas. I thought this was a forum to ask for help, so I don't have to search through 13,000+ photos that are not what I'm looking for.
Obviously this is not a place for friendly advice, just unhelpful condescending remarks. I will find somewhere else to ask my questions.

SammyBoy - DA is a friendly place rest assured. However I believe I answered your original question (and gave my advice on removing metal legs) although found your reply mildly ungrateful. Good luck in your search though.

Sammy
Modernica makes a tufted armless sofa with wooden legs - it's a knock-off of a Knoll sofa.

'I thought this was a forum to ask for help'
herein lies the problem..
This is a just a forum- a place for discussion.
There are a small bunch of people here than are very generous with their knowledge, expertise and time, but it isn't just a drop-in identification, appraisal or search facility.
Too often people just fly by, demanding help, without so much as a please or thank-you.
*Rant over- off to work*

Robert I agree with you...
Robert I agree with you 100%. The forum is turning into a flipping free id web site. It is supposed to be a discussion about design, most of the questions asked on here can be found on the web with a little searching. To not thank people after takes the biscuit.
