I found Finn Juhl Egyptian chair on ebay # number 260983243865 I'm planning on bidding on it but is it worth that much? I know we're not suppose to put a value on this forum. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance !

Check auction results, Rago,...
Check auction results, Rago, Wright20 & Live Auctioneers,
Condition is a big factor. How much are you willing to pay to have it fixated up? That also has to be calculated into the equation.

Great designer, great design
I love Finn Juhl and the Egyptian chair is a beautiful design. Of course, Vodder production Juhl pieces are at the top of the list when it comes to collecting.
I would suggest that as part of a larger set, the asking price is in fact reasonable, even taking into consideration the condition. As long as the frame is stable and free of damage, the original leather would be desirable, but not that big a deal if you had to restore or reupholster the chair. Most people realize that upholstery is fugitive and subject to change if use, wear or damage dictates.
However, the thing that gives me pause is that it is an armless side chair intended to be used at a table or desk. It's not a nice easy chair that you can relax in, or that can be prominently displayed in your main living space. It does not have the same degree of sculptural appeal as some other Juhl designs. It's a more subdued and vertical design, absent are a lot the sinuous, organic lines.
If you have others and need this to add to your set, I'd jump on it. If it would be a significant investment for you, and a singular example, I think perhaps there are other Juhl designs which might give you greater enjoyment over time for around the same money.

Just stumbled across a vintage Egyptian chair knockoff for the first time, so thought I'd post photos here for posterity. Not very well executed as far as knockoffs go.
