I'm on the road as i do every year this time.
We have a coastal home in Newfoundland. This trip we
contacted a fiddle and guitar maker in Cape Breton, in the
Canadian maritmes. We always have 4-6 hours to kill while
waiting for our ferry, a 16hr ferry to the island.
The sacred workshop. Such a nice visit, and later sat in on a
gathering of local fiddlers in a pub next to the ferry departure in
North Sydney. (Ferry left at 1am so the timing was perfect)
I was most interested in the varnished he uses.
Just though Heath, SDR, and woodworkers may be interested.

.
Such a memorable moment. To see his workshop. And hear him play.
A short video of his Fiddle Tree project.
