I would never have heard of Hxtal if I didn't know an objects conservator at the Met.

Is amazing stuff. To those of us up to our ears in glass, it is the best bar none. I have used it a lot over the years and have seen multiple cases of a repaired item that has been rebroken. The repaired part always remains intact. It is bloody expensive and you need an electronic scientific scale to measure out the components precisely. And if that wasn't enough, it makes the parts being repaired very slippery before it cures (which takes days), making alignment a real pain.
