Do any of you have a great bed suggestion, circa 50's or 60's?

My very favorite is what I think is called the Thin Edge bed by George Nelson ... the one with the cane headboard.

The bed I fell for was the CHARLES, designed by Antonio Chitterio in 1998 for B&B Italia.
The 2004 re-design, called the CHARLES DOOR is rubbish. The extra thick boarder ruins the proportions.
I know its not 1950/60s but its an incredible design: especially the wonderful 'L' shaped legs, that are also seen throughout quite a lot of his pieces.
Jasper Morrison made a valiant attempt at copying it ... best form of flattery I suppose?
For me its the CHARLES is easily one of the best upholstered beds you can get.
Love the George Nelson one too, just that its a bit on the high side, and I like how upholstery on a bed gives it a very warm inviting look. The added bonus being you can just change the upholstery should you decide to re-decorate!
