Sneakers, like...
...many Adidas and Nike and Reebok and Asics products are not classified as fashion in many design books.
Their technology has changed more than their looks.

How about...
...fashion designers that have dabbled in furniture design?
Jean-Paul Gaultier did a few items for Via... http://www.tribu-design.com/collections/alpha.php?ac=f&pict=3&lg=en&st=9...
Rei Kawakubo designed a whole slew of stuff for Pallucco... http://www.architonic.com/mus/gal/4104184http://www.gallery33llc.com/itemdetails.php?id=223629

Or how about...
a famous architect's nephew creating mcm furniture-inspired Highheels?

oh, man
When I was in first grade (way, way back in 1961), my Aunt Gladys gave me a cotton knit pullover for Christmas. It had pretty much that same Mondrianesque color block pattern as those YSL dresses. Same colors.
I LOVED IT. I really did. I wore it out.

I'm sure we all know about Pierre Cardin and Paco Rabanne
One of Cardin's furniture designers was none other than Maria Pergay.
The first is a Cardin Desk, the others are pieces by Rabanne.

And also, not really a fashion designer designing furniture...
but rather a fashion house hiring a furniture designer, these iconic pieces by Jacques Adnet for Hermes.

And let's not forget that...
...sometimes fashion inspires design. Like this Carlton Ware's Denim Ware from 1970's(the era of unisex fashion).
