In buying or selling between private parties, what would you think would be a fair percentage of the price the same piece sold for from an established online dealer? I.e. established online dealer(s) sells piece for ~$1000 -- how much would you think the private seller could expect to ask a private buyer for the same piece in similar condition? Thanks.

I dont think they should
but its hard to put a value of percentage on it because it depends on the piece and how quick the dealer might pass it on etc etc etc.

Well that depends
I'd say it would depend on the item itself. And what is to stop you from asking what the dealer is selling it for? If I have the same item on eBay and Craigslist, I usually list the item on CL for about 15% less since eBay/paypall usually charges 10-15%.
