Hi everyone!

I'm putting together a Facebook page for swapping Eames parts. I recently bought a base on ebay and when I commented that 'butterscotch' would really appreciate it, the seller got excited because it was a color he was collecting. We couldn't make a swap (he didn't have colors I am collecting), but it got me thinking about all the extra parts we have and rather than buying and selling (and paying ebay fee's!) swapping could be fun!

I'm a total FB idiot, so frankly I'm not sure if you have to be my friend to see the page or not, so I was hoping ya'll could check it out and feel free to post your proposed swaps! Just search FB for "Eames Shell Chairs"

Thanks!

Interesting concept
I liked. Hope it's successful for some people.
Edit: It might be better to make it a group so that all members are notified of new posts, replies, etc.

thank you!
I know with regular posts if someone comments on the post all involved in that post (other commenters) do get an email, does that seem like a good way to see if you have any 'hits' on the part you have listed?

Yes
But you won't be notified of any new posts by other members. You will have to go to the page to see if there are any new posts.

thanks!
How would I go about changing that?
Also, do you think would it possibly create too much unwanted email if you were informed of every post and not just the ones that pretain to you?
In a perfect world the page has millons of friends excitedly swapping shells and bases and we all end up with our perfect sets of chairs 🙂
