Cadovius' Royal System has been relaunched by dk3 already in 2010, in oak and walnut.
Your rhetorical question "is nothing sacred anymore?" is quite amiss, because Cadovius' philosophy was NOT that only some few "design addicted" people 50 years later can exclusively benefit from his work, but he rather intended to manufacture long lasting furnitures with a superior design for ALL people.
So it's quite consequent to relaunch the system, furthermore to a good quality.
That Aside
I find it interesting they have made a conscious decision to make the new system incompatible with the old.
I guess, therefore, making it distinguishable as newer production in time, and preserving the integrity of the original.
That must count for something for the purists?
