I get your thought about the wire but thats traditional with this type ornament.But brass wire and caps could be a nice touch plus will not rust...

Have you seen the Pinnacle group?
I stumbled on a recently discontinued Pinnacle group consisting of
teapot
sugar bowl
creamer
mugs
They're really beautiful and i'm going to find them in black (they came in black and white)

I just got the Pinnacle
teapot, creamer and (repaired) black sugar bowl on eBay for less than $30.00. I knew that the sugar bowl had been repaired.
It's just about the nicest looking teapot group I've seen lately....amazing that it was in production for such a short time.
I like it so well that I found a vendor who still had the sugar bowl/creamer set available and I ordered it for $25.00.
If I don't break it, it'll be my teapot for a long long time. Beautiful and quite large (reminds me of myself)!

Was in a Chicago DWR and saw a few Eva porcelain pieces. Flipped them over saw her signiture on the bottom with made in china under it. Hmmmmmmm
