Have a crack in the front part of the seat that goes all the way through and makes me feel like I'm a little off center when I sit on it - and NO! it's not the wine!!! 😉 Any one have any luck either repairing them or sending them out for repair? I was thinking of an auto body shop that repairs Corvettes but haven't checked it out yet. Love my chairs!!!! ~Elle

you hit that one right on...
you hit that one right on the nail!!!
take it to a auto body shop that does Fiberglass work. They can re fiberglass it, and then repaint it , it will turn out so great Then you will want them all painted to match!!

Have you done that?
Worth a shot. Have you or has anyone else actually done that though? I plan on keeping the finish original if it does work out. Figure that the repair would not look too obvious and rather not change the "original" patina.

depends were that break is If it can be done from inside the Tulip stand no problem but if it has to be done from the outside you will want it repainted or it will look ugly,

How about seat posts?
I have an intact Knoll tulip bucket w/arms, with a broken seat post/leg. This chair is from the 60's before they started making them in Italy. I have called Knoll and a few restorers and no one has a replacement post. Any sources for me?

2 + 2 = 4
~L has a vintage tulip with a bad seat, nineteen56 has vintage tulip with bad base. Check the bottom for BR51 and we can make one good chair out of these two wounded soldiers.
