European chrome and leather dining chairs identification

I found this link: http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-us/auction-catalogues/lots-road-auctions/... to a similar pair the dealer is identifying as Mario Botta Seconda 602 chair for Alias.
The unfortunate truth is neither "pairs of chairs" are Seconda 602's. They are all primitive copies.

Wow, thanks niceguy! If you don't mind me asking how did you find them? Or were you knowledgable and knew already? I searched all keywords! I any hints as to whether these may be the real deal? I'm going to see them this weekend.

I know the Seconda 602 chair by sight. Locating the same pair on the internet was luck.
They are "not authentic" Seconda 602 chairs. Unless they are "next door" and you desire a visual for "self satisfaction" do not waste your time.
They are reproductions (and not well executed)

Thanks niceguy, after further investigation I came to the same conclusion, the backrest is very wrong. I did like the look of them, but I don't want poorly executed replicas. I have decided to be a purest.....!

Good for you. I see theses chairs "pop up" from time to time.
They are nice, but do not have a particularly strong following. You should be able to find an original set at a reasonable price in the future.
