Hi Forum,
I'm new here - and I hope this is the right place to ask my question. I didn't find anything in the archives...
I've just bought myself an Eileen Gray Jumo table lamp - see (random) link below for a description of the model.
I'm now looking for energy saving bulbs that can be used in this lamp. I've seen some tube-like bulbs (S19?) that seem to fit nicely, but ideally, I'd really like to use LEDs. Can anyone point me to a suitable product? All the LEDs I've looked at seem to be too big for the lamp...
Many thanks in advance!
Sebastian

I can't help you with the type of bulb to use. Just be extremely careful with what to choose:
The colour temperature and brightness of the light are -in a way- part of the design. You don't want to ruin this, it would look really silly with too cold or too bright light.
No evidence the lamp was designed by Eileen Gray
There is no evidence that the lamp was designed by Eileen Gray. The Jumo lamp is not mentioned in the literature about Gray and it was certainly not included in the recent Eileen Gray exhibition (20 february-20 may 2013) at the Centre Pompidou. See the catalogue: Eileen Gray, sous la direction de Cloé Pitiot. Paris: Éditions du Centre Pompidou, 2013. In my opinion it is a misattribution similar to Charlotte Perriand's Philips Infraphil lamp.
