Thought some might be interested in seeing this chair that a friend gave to me. It was made during the 1970's by a furniture-maker in Eugene, Oregon, named Elliott Grey. The same model chair was shown in the Smithsonian as part of an Oregon exhibit around 1980. It is quite a labor intensive piece.
I recently found out that Elliott Grey was a student of Arthur Espenet Carpenter, and I think that my chair by Grey shows some influence from the Espenet "Sedua Wishbone Chair" (third image down).
