I bought a used Fritz Hansen Egg chair which has some years behind it. It is upholstered with some fabric which is rather worned and I would want to redress it in Kvadrat Hallingdal fabric. Now, I have seen that some Egg chairs in fabric has the complete back-side (exept for a wedge under the front part) in just one piece and thus no seam cutting the sides. My upholstering man say that he doesn't know how to stretch the fabric enough to make it in one piece. Does anyone know how to do it - maybe Koen?

I think the only way to do a curved section with one piece of fabric is to use a fabric with a lot of stretch. Kvadrat's Tonus is probably your best bet and would be totally appropriate.

Thanks for the Tonus suggestion
Thus, is Tonus more stretchable than Hallingdal do you mean?

I think Tonus is more stretchy than Hallingdal, but I just found this site that sells the chair with either of those fabrics and another one or two that do not have any stretch. So Hallingdal is fine, if that's what you want.
