.
I wonder though if you did a 'blind tasting' for people who are'nt up on design which they would prefer?
If it isn't suggested to people that they have other choices then all that happens is that the status quo continues, high design has allways been a sacred club and its needs to be opened up.
Its not the just the cost of the products that turns people away but the preciousness of the industry, I'm pretty sympathetic to people who admire the kind of work we all do but for one reason or another don't feel like they belong in those gallerys or the high end of town.
The attitude of the staff in these places can be pretty tiresome if you don't fit the mould of their ideal customer, no wonder people shop at Target.
My issue
My issue with Target, aside from the 'we love design but promote knock-offs' attitude is that they dont ever live up to their reputation.
Their ad campaings are truly inspiring, with dizzying gymnastics of pretty boys and girls and kaleidoscopic toilet paper, waterfalls of M&Ms, and blossoming fireworks of #2 pencils. But when you get to the store...well... its JUST toilet paper.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Five starsQuality that knows no bounds!, March 19, 2008
Reviewer: LRF "LRF" (Tulsa) - See all my reviews
As a collector and expert in mid-century design you must take this review seriously.Firstly; I must mention I own an upholstery business in Tulsa ,so when I say that the detail to quality is on this chair is unsurpassed you can take that to the bank.I mean wow not one of my employees could ever come close to how precise the stitch work was executed on this chair.I have to agree with the last reviewer ,and say don't buy the overpriced Danish junk when you could have this piece which is ten times the quality at a fraction of the price.Buy this chair it is a good first investment for a novice collector.(Or great addition to an old collection) Two words Breath-taking!!!!!!For crying out loud I was featured on apartment therapy!

Five starsPanton eat your heart out!, March 20, 2008
As a design expert who is also in the upholstery business I feel my opinion should be taken seriously. This chair is based upon the Verner Panton relaxer series ,and it actually improves upon the original design. The quality is outstanding every time my twin brother a surgeon sits in it he can't help but comment on its shear comfort level. My daughter a Harvard grad is always pestering me to give her this chair ,but when you have something of this stunning beauty in your collection you just can't let it go.So all I have to say is buy on ,and see how a chair can equate to absolute pleasure.A true masterpiece it should be in MOMA!
I am not a stalker
I did not do this are you really that thick. The only comment I actually put on this was why we bash the Target furniture. However; with each accusation you make me applaud who ever is to blame.Probably yourself ,but maybe its somebody else who knows who cares. You must be proud of these comments you keep posting them on this forum.
