I consigned some items to Wright
I was not sure to sell some stuff, because I will move at the end of the year, but now I am tempted.

Not everything was surprisingly expensive.
218 and 228, for example. I haven't seen condition reports, but they looked nice in the photos...

This is a good thing.
The past couple of years Wright auctions have been almost painful to watch, it's nice to see the buyers come back strongly.... well, at least for this auction. Hopefully things continue to go well for all the auction houses for the rest of the season and on.

Keep hiding them!
Keep hiding them in your garage Jesgord and I will not tell anyone!! -:))
Ps. this is about something Jesgord deleted in his thread.
Anyway it is for me still unbelievable what kind of prices are and going to be paid....maybe Wright was putting something in the drinks.

The estimates
are a joke! Seems like they are typically a little closer but the majority of the pieces are four of five times what they estimated. Beautiful stuff!

crisis indeed,
what is it, you suppose, that makes anyone pay $62,000 for a sofa? or $104,000 for two possibly STOLEN chairs? economic crisis indeed. its exactly this vanity and EXCESS that is ultimately destroying us....to me those numbers are sickening, and not just because i have so little, but that because someone is able to justify ,to themselves, that expenditure....i can only imagine what type of people these are, and yes-i know thats judgmental...shoot me....but something tells me i probably wouldn't be so far off.....and as much as i enjoy items such as were sold, could never see spending that even if i had it. its just stuff. JUST STUFF!!
unfortunately that is the best legacy that some people have to leave behind.................
