Hello everyone,
I'm new on this blog. I'm living in France and I'm truly interested in Eames and some other Designer from the same period of time.
Based on the comments I could read, I beleive you are true specialist of the EAMES world and my question should be piece of cake for you guys:
=> I would like to find the pictures of the different Herman Miller logos found on the EAMES fiberglass chairs (especially for Shell) with indictions of the period in order to easily get a good notion.
I beleive some have stickers, some have different Herman Miller logos embossed while others have both...
Thank you for you help

Logos
HM Logos on the shell chairs are notoriously difficult to pin down in terms of dates. Even Herman Miller doesnt truly know when changes in logos occurred.
Generally speaking the chairs were given a sticker logo when first produced. According to Herman Miller -in 1955-56 Herman Miller began stamping them with an embossed M. In 56-58 all subsequent chairs were stamped with an embossed M under which was embossed "Herman Miller". There are also stamps indicating with companies were contracted out to make the shells for Herman Miller.
Check out the Eames Office Resources, under Vintage Eames, Catalogue raisonne for more details about the shell chairs. Link below.
