Hi
Picked up an eames ottoman this morning. It is marked HM and is legit but they had removed the patent tags. Cushion seems to be stuffed with cotton (as opposed to feathers or foam)... the fit of the cushion looks very close to my 77 ottoman.
Questions
1) I believe this is rosewood but would love a confirmation or another idea
2) Someone has sprayed something on the leather that discolored it... are there options to have this repaired? The leather is very soft and in nice shape except the patches. Any options?
Appreciate the help
Thanks
Brian

Yes, it's rosewood veneer and 671 ottos didn't always come with patent labels. Typically, there's a label to be found sewn to the cushion insert that lists filling materials. Polyester batting and urethane foam would be expected for '70's editions, IIRC.
That was easy.
Maybe consult a leather reconditioning specialist for the not-so-easy part.
