Hi all,
Acquired this out of an old, dead stock.
Its architectural design attracted me, same for the low pricing.
It is signed at the bottom: K.Shigeto (Milano), made in Japan.
Can't find anything on the net about it, although I think I once saw this in a book, attributed to the memphis-group or influence.
I must admit, never been much of a fan of Memphis, but the quality of this thermal jug is something else..
The white plastic looks like it's moffled, wich makes a nice contrast for the glossy black.
The open-close sign is a cool technical detail.
The original box and papers came with it, but give no further clue about the designer or year of production.
Anybody here who can tell me more?
Zojirushi?
Is that the Zojirushi logo on the side? http://www.zojirushi.com
I don't know much about the company, but every time I attend a conference (or similar) with a tea and coffee buffet, nine times out of ten it's a Zojirushi vaccuum flask that's being used to hold the boiling liquid. Which, I guess, tells you a lot about the reliability and efficacy of their products.
Are metal lunchboxes still...
...banned at American schools?
