What do you think of this chair's condition? I am the bidder right now. There seems to be some light oxidation. Would you buy in this condition? Seems like most wire chairs I see at this age have this. Does anyone here live with a slightly oxidized chair every day? Does it bother you? I wouldn't want to recoat a nice example like this....

I have had so many of those chairs if they do have some oxidation you can have them sand blasted and powercoated for around 150.00 each and they look great.
I did 6 last year 4 for the pool area and 2 for the front porch and they look so nice, and i am glad i did them cause the ones you buy look awful from the reproduction stores,

the only reason to redo a oxidized one, they have a gritty feeling like they are dirty and don't feel good, that is why i repowdercoated mine,

I've got one of these that someone spray painted white -which is kind of drippy and chipping off and in a similar looking condition to the one you're bidding on. It's really fine - doesn't bug when I sit in it(altho I had to buy a new Cat's Cradle base for it.) And I don't have the bikini pad on it - so you'll probably be fine. If its really gross some light coats of enamel spray paint couldn't hurt - you can always sandblast it off at a later date.
