I have wanted an Eames ESU 230 (with doors from Herman Miller)) for a long time and have been close to ordering a couple times in the last weeks. The only problem I have is paying $1,300 for three small sheets of flat plywood and the basic parts it's made out of. I had no problem paying for the Eames Lounge chair and ottoman, but I can't seem to justify the price of the ESU. Any good or bad thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks...James

You aren't paying for the plywood, you are paying for a storage solution design that is both customizable and beautiful. This design is my favorite storage solution. I plan on buying one one day. I won't feel the least bit slighted. Buy it. You'll love it.
You could always buy Modernica. Maybe not the exact quality but very high, and they used to manufacture the ESUs for Herman Miller. Plus their website offers a fun video game-type customizing software. I play with it for fun all the time.
If you buy consider using Article for Modern Living. They are the only modern furniture dealer in Mississippi where I live. I want to make sure they get business! They are very helpful and can dropship to you. They can get both Herman Miller and Modernica. 601-321-1958.
