Hi guys.. I was wondering why some chairs produced by Vitra have Herman Miller logo and Letter V, and some just have letter V. Is it enough to assume that they are real deal? And why it's like that. I would appreciate a Feedback.
I have a chance to buy 4 white side chairs (dss) for 700Euro which seems like a good deal.. Is it thou..?
Thanks a lot.. I was pretty...
Thanks a lot.. I was pretty positive it is orginal.. but i dont know if that lower the value of the chair if there is no Herman Miller logo. Do you consider the price 700 for dss as good? a goal was to change the base to dsw which on end would give the total price of 1000E. As a man I always ask myself "is that the best i can get" 🙂
cheers

There are always ways of doing it cheaper though they come with compromises. ?700 seems fair if they are in good condition and require little work and cheaper than what you'd get from a dealer. That said I have picked up 6 side shells, 2 arm shells and a LCW over a year for £700, that includes all the extras to bring them up to scratch, this took a lot of time hunting for them and man hours in getting them looking good. I'm guessing you are in Europe, most of the shells you will find will be Vitra/Felbhaum production, some had HM logos/labels others just Vitra labels or a form of embossing. Good luck!
Where?
@ elone
Curiosity question - Where did you find all those chairs? I assume not from ebay, since ppl here mostly overestimate the value of their chairs. Any tip? I am looking around but from where I am it seems almost impossible to get them so cheap. (live in Vienna). Also I was trying to get the GOOD QUALITY DSW replacement bases, but modern conscience does not send to europe and noone here makes as good as orginal. Sick of that cheap china REDO's
Thanks for any Tips
