HM just returned the back of an LCW that I sent them to have the shock mount replaced.
Instead of the original large oval mount they installed two round mounts side by side. They look like the seat mounts. My customer may not be happy looking down on the back of the chair and seeing the two round mounts separated by black strip filling the gap on the seat back.
Has any one else had this same outcome with their repairs?

it's really too bad h.m. didn't let you know in advance the details of their intended fix. it's likely you and your client may have chosen to do a bit more research in hopes of finding a source for a more desirable, period-sensitive refurbish. i'm really quite surprised with h.m., particularly from a p.r. standpoint. is this considered standard fare for their service?
