My parents purchased a white artichoke style lamp in '68 or '69 from the Herman Miller factory in Grand Rapids, MI. I have done a great deal of web research to find this lamp and I cannot. It looks very similiar to the Le Klint and the Henningsen Artichoke styles, but it is little different. It is white, plastic (of some sort) and is almost a puzzle of small teardrop shaped pieces, probably 3" by 1" and they are all hooked together. In all it's about 16"-18" in size. I would really like to find out what this is. Any suggestions please on where to research?...I can email a picture if needed. I don't have it up on the web, so I did not include a link...

I looked at George Nelson and his designs do not seem to be it (although I dig some of his stuff). The closest I have found is the the Le Klint 175, but the pieces of my lamp are more angular and the lamp itself is more open. There are 2 rings at the top and base that the first row of hooks use to hang from.
None of these?
None of these look close?

Nope...I looked at these...
Nope...I looked at these earlier, but the Le Klint styles are still closer. I need to take a picture and post it somehow. None of these have the same design. If you start with a 4" metal ring at the top and then hook asymetrical teardrops in rows, hanging off each other, you have about 5-6 rows to the center and then decrease down to another 4" ring that makes the base. The actaul light has a 15' cord and the fixture enters top and then has a 3 piece frame, like a spoke that grabs the top ring as you pull it back to hang. Overall it looks like white globe - I'm a geolgoist, so I describe rocks...sorry...I know where and when it was bought, as my parents went to Cranbrook after Eames and have some rare pieces (not saying this lamp is). They made trips out to Grand Rapids to buy direct in the 60's and for some reason have no more info on this lamp...Sorry to make a long story longer...
