Well, I bought the chairs at $250 for the set. The table was a bust.

It means, not only was it...
It means, not only was it not Nelson, but it wasn't even attractive in person.
It was some cheap retro thing that's had the base repainted and the edging was coming off.

Good idea. Actually I switched out the DCMs for the shells just to see how they "live" for a few days. My first guest over remarked on how officey they look.
Funny I've never thought of them that way. They make me feel like I'm in Elementary school. Like I need some juice and crackers. In a good way. Since I had no childhood. TMI. JK.
So still considering. What do you guys pair with your side shell dining set (table wise)?

More Chairs than tables.
I actually have the same problem with having more chairs than I do table space. I use them seasonally. I use Castelli DSC chairs (orange upholstery) in the fall and winter months and use Vico Magistretti's Selene chair in white in the spring and summer. This around my white Saarinen table. It keeps the look fresh and makes me appreciate both designs more.
