what do you think?
I bought this past summer 10 Eames arm shells, I dropped 6 of them off at a auto body paint repair place, that fixed the bumper on my Porsche perfectly and now it is up for sale,
The guy is going to paint the back of each chair, prime them. paint them porshce white,or what ever white, and put the clear coat on for $40 bucks each, and then i will recover them in a white vinyl, and use a white crimp cord (special order from Germany, )
I have real white leather from Spinnybeck in stock but the little woman says spaghetti sauce on leather not good at all,
I have 12 of the effiel tower stands,so I think this will look killer .. I have noticed in all my design mags that they are using a lot of the white buckets from Vitra they are just the plastic type ..
these will have a covering .
We are giving the series 7 Jacobsen chairs that we bought when we moved in to the new place last year to my daughter for her home,
Do you think these will be a good kitchen chair? , being in the business they will still cost me over a $1000.00 for the completed set of 6. pictures to follow in about a month.

I think they will as long as you have enough space to support the mass of opaque armchairs. I actually prefer the upholstered arm shells. They are worlds more comfortable. Go for it!

good thought and idea whitespike,
need to check.
the jacobsen 7 fits perfect but with arms might be big ass, but i am not in love with side scoops, like the arms, maybe 4 scoops 2 sides, I will lay them out and see what the little woman thinks.

Yes, if you have them around I would definitely actually put them out there before you go to the time and expense. Funny, I actually prefer the sides, but I know most people like the arms the best. I love them all of course!
For me, with a small apartment, I would never use armchairs. They are too bulky. I won't even use a side chair unless you can "see through it." I use bertoias with only seat pads (no back).
