Eames armchair RAR - strange base, no shock mounts.

I have an opportunity to buy a bright yellow rocking armchair. What bothers me is that I've never seen a base like this. It is kind of two in one base. You can detach the rockers and add some wires, so it changes the RAR chair in to LAR chair. I don't know how the base is attached to the shell, there are no shocks and the screws don't go through the shell. The seller says that is how he brought the chair. there are no markings on the shell. I think the base is terrible fake and not even in style of. The shell could be a Summit prod. I'm estimating on very bright colour, no visible fibbers, and no markings. What do you think? Should I pass this one? Check additional images.

To put it bluntly, if it smells like a turd it probably is. Pass. There are too many legit chairs out there to waste your time on this.

... though his assessment is, uh... fragrant, he's correct. There is something VERY wrong with that chair. A lot of things, actually. My bet is that it has not even sat next to an authentic Eames chair from Herman Miller.

I'll pass.
I realy liked that bright, vibrant color though. I thought that the shell was oryginal. I'll look for something else. There is a lot of fish in the sea. Thanks.
