I have a couple of old X-Bases that I want to restore.
Both are black, one has a layer of white paint that someone added over the years.
My question is:
If I strip the paint, is the base going to be Zinc-coated underneath? or will it have no coating whatsoever?
The reason I ask is, I'd like to simply strip and polish the metal without repainting.
