sea change
After yesterdays slap-down I'm reluctant to post this but here goes. The pattern on this tray resembles Ray Eames, Sea Things fabric and Waverly Products trays. It is made of fiberglas and looks like an old cafeteria style tray; measuring 17 3/4" x 15 5/8" (45.085cm x 34.6075cm). Aside from the Waverly plastic serving trays has anyone else come across one of these?

sea things
Certainly looks like Sea Things, with many of the same drawings found on the Waverly trays. What does the stamp say? Is there a date?

Interesting-
Can you show a close-up of this part here or make another comparison? It looks like a verrry close copy!
Really, I like the sea things tray and all, Eames is great etc., but can't any one of us doodle at least this well?

The company name
on the base says:
CALFIBE
REDLANDS CALIF
There isn't a date. I'll try to shoot some comparative detail photos next week and add them to the thread.

Yes, SDR, Google is where I...
Yes, SDR, Google is where I located the image of part of SEA THINGS above, however smogguys tray is not there as readily.
It's tough to compare in the small size, but if you look at that particular sea thing there, there is a VERY similar shape within the pink tray's graphics, it looks like it may have been roughly, directly copied by hand, it's the about the same, but different, which is interesting-

Canvas
Edit: The entire Sea Things "canvas" in shown in the fabric image below. I have identified the section which matches smogguy's tray. Perhaps Eames also licensed the design to Calfibe (not a big stretch since the company was also in CA), or maybe Calfibe co-opted it.
Second image is of a Waverly tray.

I would love to have a pair of pants made from that textile...
or perhaps a sport coat.
Oh my god.

Thank you woody!
I sent the provided Maharam link to my wonderful tailor Mr. Chen. I have my fingers crossed.

You can order a swatch from Maharam for free and no need for a tax ID. You just have to register on their site.

Ooh - ooh --
The jacket in Acqua, the trousers in Currant ? And a tie in Goldenrod over a plain silk shirt in navy. The whole catalog in one outfit. I love it. What shoes and belt -- cream suede, peut-etre ?

Oh my darling SDR,
My size 44.5 shoes are always Gucci, natch. They make me feel pretty.
I occasionally will wear a Lilly Pulitzer belt..but I prefer Gucci or Hermes.
Oh Lord, it is what it is.
