Eames Shell Stains

My fiberglass eames armchair seems to have stains on the seat - directly above the shock mounts. Do the mounts stain the fiberglass? How can I fix this?

I've had some shell chairs...
I've had some shell chairs get stained by stacking the shells (without a base) for to long in a humid environment. Maybe that is what is caused the staining?... I don't know how to fix it. i hope someone does...

You may be describing "bleed...
You may be describing "bleed through" from the epoxy used for the shock mounts. There is some discussion about it at this link, and I think some other threads about it on the forum as well.
