A post recently made reference to black being a rare Eames shell color, and it seems like EVERY color on Ebay is billed as *rare!*.
Does anyone have a definitive resource as to the range of colors, and years produced? I've been to Eames Collector and his stuff is slightly more in depth than most, but doesnt seem to give this much detail (unless I've missed it). It would be a great resource to have!

I wrote the post about the black Eames armshell. I personally do not know if it is rare, however, I do remember reading something which stated it was rare. Who knows, perhaps I read it on a past ebay auction!
My post was to inquire if black was an uncommon colour or not. I do know from my experience that I have not seen many black armshells.
I agree that the term 'rare' is used much to often, especially as a sales tactic i.e. ebay.
I also could not find much information concerning the colours such as production runs, availability, etc.
If anyone knows of a source for this info, it would be greatly appreciated.
