Eames Loose Cushion prototype  

Reminiscent of
Reminiscent of Saarinen's Womb Settee and the Swan Settee. Somehow this couch comes off as more elegant and finished than the chair version.

never liked the chair, but...
never liked the chair, but it works as a settee. Much better proportions. I wonder how many shockmounts it has?

I would have guessed
I would have guessed that this would have the bolts mounted from the inside of the shell, being so late in the oeuvre. However, glancing at some images of the chair it seems that the shockmounts were glued.

And all LCAs that I have seen have holes drilled in the shell and then tapped, like most of the later upholstered shells.
