Eames House Bird: Update with pics 22/12/07

This is not a difficult chair to get reupholstered. The foam can be replaced and it can be recovered in any number of Maharam-type fabrics.
Depending on where you're located, i suggest you call on the best Mid-Century Modern store and ask them who they use.
I learned of the best reupolsterer here in Minneapolis from a MCM furniture shop. That's the way to go.
Sometimes it can be difficult to remove the old frozen foam from the shell, but it can be done.

i just found one at a retro...
i just found one at a retro shop here in st. louis and they want 125 bucks for it, it kinda feels like ceramic on teak wood base, its like the one in the koenig house
