I got a divorce and have been traveling the world.
I am at my home off and on. I still love Design Addict and all the nice people but i have not been able to be on as much as i use to. Still seems like the same crew with the same problems, The modern show was cool The Eames House was kinda sad cause it was not in very good shape, Ray died over 20 years ago and they have not moved a thing. needs a real cleaning up.

Awesome you got to go! I am envious. I will go when I go to LA with my girlfriend. Curious...were you able to go inside? I was under the impression they only opened the house once a year. Also, I was told that it was all in good shape, and they still had the same house keeper cleaning it as when Ray was living. So sad to hear that it was in bad shape.

They open to foundation members on the June 20 Charles and Rays wedding anniversary but if you are a foundation member you can make appointment to see the inside.
I just felt the place needed a going over but they tell
you it was left just like it was in 1988 when Ray died, Still a very unique place but the view is to die for over looking the Pacific .

Yeah --
get rid of all those tacky toys and colorful ethnic crap -- paint the floors and walls white -- or red ? Try maybe some Mies or Corbu leather and chrome, and re-do the lighting.
Or maybe go real up-to-date, and save money too: IKEA !
