I recently spotted this listing on eBay, noticed the 5-2-4 screws on the bottom (claiming to be Evans-era), and no label... and was wondering what everyone thought of its validity as a real Eames product.
Hard to say
Based on the small photos, but the shape of the back rest looks off to me (could be the angle and/or camera lens). Also, the top of the spine looks too rounded.
Personally, I would not bid based on the convoluted, long-winded explanation full of run-on sentences in the description.
Found another similar "DCW"
Found another similarish DCW on 1stdibs, that shows something of a hole between the screws, the same 5-2-4 screw pattern, and no label...
Any thoughts?

And another
Another one with the hole and no label...

I think it's (nearly) legit.
Despite the sales pitch BS, the chair looks authentic to me, although the finish seems too good and the back rest shock mount repair both are potential red flags. I suspect it's been tarted up some and I also don't like the small, low-res pics. They don't reveal enough detail and the seller seems to know enough to know what to try to conceal.
The two back rest screws don't appear to be original, but the truss-head philips screws underneath look correct. I've not seen new versions of these available anywhere that are even close.
