In my neverending quest for a good sofa, I've come across another sofa from EQ3.com. Check out the link below and let me know what you guys think. I have seen this sofa in leather and it looks better than the red fabric pictured in the link and it's amazingly comfortable too. Made in Canada and retails for only about $1500. I just wanted some feedback on it because I think I will purchase it this weekend.

Today's Test Drive
Today I had a look at the Saga Sofa. I have shopped at EQ3 and know their products: you say you want a “good” sofa and this company sells “cheap and cheerful”. If you understand the quality of your purchase to be something fun and disposable then it could be adequate. Although I agree that the sofa is comfortable there are still some things about this that do not suit MY tastes. Base frame looks like it should be under a coffee table and ruins the overall sweeping lines of the body which ends up looking like it is standing on a pedestal. Cushions are integrated into the upholstery whereas I would prefer detachable cushions that could be fluffed, rotated or removed. Price probably reflects the quality.

Hi Robin,
I agree with you...
Hi Robin,
I agree with you on the fix cushions, I didn't like that. The only issue I have with the base is that it looks dull and cheap and they don't have a chrome option. The overall look is clean with mid century lines but I don't know what the quality is really like but I'm wondering if the "made in Canada" is a good thing? It's got to be as good as anything from China right?
Anyone here familiiar with their quality?

Thanks so much the-beloved. I appreciate your insight and will probably not buy the sofa. I will also check out the other links you provided.

affordable sofa -- canadian made
I always thought this sofa was nice. It's by a company out of Canada called Lind. Built in cushions again, and probably not a lifetime investment, but hell folks, we're talking about a sofa here. The idea of owning the same sofa for the rest of my life is kinda depressing in a way.
I have seen it and sat in it and in Royal leather, it's quite the nice sofa, for the price. You could always upgrade later.
