Hi. I am thinking to replace my Stickley library table by a EDU desk by Herman Miller. For Xmas, I got the Aeron chair and I can get a good position to work on my computer (the Stickley is beautiful, however it is not adapted for computer). Anybody can get me his expertise on the EDU desk by HM? Can I adjust the height? Is it practicle for the keyboard?

Thanks,
Benoît

Once upon a time
I was considering the Eames desk, but if I bought it, I would've had to install a pull out keyboard drawer (I have a desktop), and I wasn't sure I wanted to do a number on something as valuable as a new EDU desk. So I opted for the (now discontinued) Blue Dot Paperclip desk. I works out well, but it's not quite the level of style I had wanted, but it does have a pull out keyboard drawer and works well with my Aeron chair (I keep the chair in the highest position....)
If you don't mind screwing-in a pullout keyboard drawer for your EDU, I say go for it. It will look beautiful in your home.
Also, take a look at the other Herman Miller Lifestyles pieces that they're pushing, although I don't like much of it myself.

Hi looked at the other...
Hi looked at the other Herman Miller desks, but the Eames is the nicest one. I also like the size of the EDU desk (as a College teacher, I need lots of space!). Herman Miller makes nice pull out keyboard drawer that might works.
Thanks.

Love the Eames Desk
Seriously considered it a few years back. It's fine for typing on top of (as opposed to a pull out keyboard) altho I'm sure other would argue that it's not ergonomically correct. If you really want the keyboard tray I don't think a couple of screw holes would do much damage to the desk. Just make sure you don't pop out the top!
The only reason I didnt get it was monetary. Instead I found a Offi Wave desk on Craigslist for $100. (pretty, but wobbly as hell)
Oh, and definitely get it in primary colors. The ESUs just look so sad and bland in the neutral color schemes.

Not too expensive (discontinued, but you can still find it), but I like it alot.

Hi. I think the EDU desk is...
Hi. I think the EDU desk is just a fantastic design and would be perfect with the Aeron chair (the best ever chair I've got). The primary colors make the desk more attractive and more interesting. I can't believe in am getting into mid-century modern... I only had Arts & Crafts furniture 5 years ago!

Welcome
Welcome to Modern - but be careful! Modern starts with one piece, and all of a sudden you're writing a check for 16M to buy the Neutra house in Palm Springs!

I got my Eames desk today!
Hi. I finally got my EDU desk today. The only problem I have now is that I see all the wires! It doesn't look as clean as the picture from Herman Miller!
I posted some pics. The floor lamp is Artemide.

Nice
You could use some velcro straps to tidy up the cords.

Get a wireless mouse and keyboard. As for the monitor powercord, perhaps run it under the desktop?
