Sorry about starting a thread unrelated to design but I need to ask this.
I have been sending numerous e-mails lately to companies based in the USA,particularly one in New Jersey and another in Florida.Both keep saying they never got my email when I have given up and rang them by phone.Neither of these companies ever do what they promise and seem to be incompetant but they are claiming they are not receiving "every" mail I send.
Could this be true ? Can you receive one email and not another using the same address.I think I am being lied to but I did hear recently that a fire in Palo Alto California did badly effect internet services for a while.
Is this happening to anyone else ?
Can e-mails fail to be delivered without a notice telling you it failed ?

This is only my opinion, but from what I have experienced it is possible. It has only happened to me when it was my server that was messed up. So, I guess it is possible. The other thing, is I have thought I have not gotten an email when in fact it landed in my "junk" for one reason or another. Truth be told, 90% of the time I have gotten an email, but not in every instance. I think with technology anything is possible. Unfortunately, it makes it easy to lie.
