Hi everyone,
Yesterday I picked up some neat furniture.
I replied on a local ad, people were clearing a house and offered a table, sideboard and small dresser for sale.
I was only interested in the small dresser, a nice piece by William Watting with a special rack on top of it, but was willing to take the lot.
When I contacted the seller, the whole was already sold, but
the small dresser wasn't of any interest!
In other photos I spied in the back a congo chair, by Theo Ruth for Artifort.
Yesterday I drove by and ended up with the Watting dresser, one congo chair, two rare armchairs by artifort (same period and finish as the congo) an impressive boomerang coffeetable by Bovenkamp and some lamps.
All are Dutch products, and going by form and design I assume this is too.
I know producers such as Anvia, Hiemstra, Hala..
What could this one be?
Thanks in advance!
I'll post a picture this afternoon, for your pleasure, Jim 🙂
Would you think this could be french?
Hell, it doesn't matter in the end, I've just
attached it to the wall in our livingroom and I love it!
It seems with undoing a little screw, you can telescope the arm further out...neat.
Well, I get what you're saying
I had 12 sideboards or so...
I would be happy to drive up to you and take those anoying 'Berken' cabinets of your back 🙂
Although I collect a bit of everything I've succeeded in gathering 21 moller chairs, models 80 and 75...
I have such respect for the craftmanship I just can't pass them up. Here in Belgium and Holland they are somewhat underrated, they usually don't fetch the prices they deserve, so I consider myself a sort of savior 🙂
