Does anyone know how to shine these bases

does any one know how to shine these bases.... and will they ever get show room shiny ? I don't remember when they came out if they were real shiny or always had a dull mat finish

I may be mistaken but I don’t think they have ever been fully polished, I have pictures of the Saarinen / Girard house and they look to have a pretty dull finish,
If you did want to polish them up you could do it pretty easily with a polishing kit, the kit has different mops and compounds, you start with a pretty abrasive mop and coarse compound and build up to a soft mop and low abrasive compound eventually you will get a bright mirror finish, I have used a similar kit on aluminium engine parts in the past and if you are patient you can get a really great finish, here is the kit I bought here in the UK,

All you need is a drill or better still a bench grinder,
Once up to shine try and use a non abrasive cleaner I use Peek and rate it very highly
